Ricky Ju, D.O.

Dr. Ricky Ju is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell
Medicine and a board-certified physiatrist with advanced fellowship training in Interventional
Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine. He believes the best outcomes come from a true
partnership with his patients, built on listening, clear explanation, and giving them the
knowledge to feel confident and in control of their recovery.

Dr. Ju’s clinical focus centers on the diagnosis and non-surgical management of spine, joint,
and peripheral nerve conditions, with particular interest in the treatment of athletes and active
individuals, including golf medicine. He works closely with physical therapists, surgeons, and
other specialists to build individualized, well-rounded treatment plans, using ultrasound and
fluoroscopy-guided injections, regenerative medicine, and other minimally invasive techniques
to target the source of pain. He is currently advancing his expertise through Titleist Performance
Institute (TPI) Medical Certification.

Dr. Ju completed his fellowship in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine and his residency in Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, where he was selected by his peers and
faculty to serve as Academic Chief Resident in his final year. He earned his medical degree
from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his undergraduate and
master’s degrees in biology at Georgia State University.

Teaching remains central to who Dr. Ju is as a physician. He is passionate about mentoring
medical students, residents, and fellows, and serves as a faculty instructor for the New York
Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation’s anatomic ultrasound workshop series. He
stays engaged with the latest advances in his field through ongoing research and authored book
chapters, and is an active member of national societies including the Association of Academic
Physiatrists (AAP), the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR),
the North American Spine Society (NASS), and the International Pain and Spine Intervention
Society (IPSIS).

Outside the clinic, Dr. Ju golfs and runs. He’s completed the TCS New York City Marathon and
is now working toward the full Abbott World Marathon Majors series, staying personally invested
in the same goals his patients are chasing.
