Recovering from COVID-19? Here are some challenges you may experience.

We now know that being COVID free does not mean recovery. Patients are known to suffer varying after-effects inclduing weakness, P.T.S.D., cognitive decline, among other issues. The New Yorker interviewed Dr. Alfred Gellhorn, one of our Rehabilitation Medicine physicians redeployed on the frontlines, on what health after COVID looks like. Dr. Gellhorn spoke about the importance of rehabilitation to build back strength and cognitive function, in addition to the importance of addressing the mental issues that patients may be suffering.
