Joel Stein, MD, chair of the Department of Rehabilitation, is awarded The C. Miller Fisher, MD Neuroscience Visionary Award for 2017.
The C. Miller Fisher, MD Neuroscience Visionary Award is given by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association to an individual in the field of neuroscience who has greatly influenced the mission of the American Stroke Association and who has made contributions to the identification and/or treatment of stroke patients.
Dr. Stein has been chosen as the C. Miller Fisher Award Recipient due to his commitment to clinical research and improving stroke systems through the use of robotics and other technologies to facilitate motor function.
Dr. Stein will be accepting his award and giving a Keynote Address of his latest work and clinical focus at The Northeast Cerebrovascular Consortium 12th Annual Summit.
